2016 IEEE Italy Section Medical Informatics Summer School (ISMISS)

The 2016 IEEE Italy Section Medical Informatics Summer School (ISMISS) aims to provide basic and advanced knowledge in several fields of applications such security and safety for hospitals, decision support systems in medicine for diagnosis, prognosis, and therapy, bioinformatics, biometry, robotics for therapy, virtual/augmented reality for surgery, ambient assisted living. Several courses and workshops for each session will be delivered by international academic and industrial experts and will cover different aspects of Medical Informatics making the summer school accessible to a wide range of PhD Students and Researchers.

After successfully examinations 3 ECTS credits are awarded.

Application Informations

The school application is opened to 100 students, Ph. D. students, post-docs, young academic and industrial researchers, senior academic and industrial researchers or professionals. Admission will be decided on the basis of both academic achievement and suitability for the program. The school fees will be 800,00 € for Master, Phd students, Post-Docs and young researchers, 750,00 € for IEEE students. Moreover, for AICA members, the full school fee is reduced by 50€ (750€ instead of 800€) and for the students in the Regular Plan, who are not AICA member, there is the possibility to be registered to AICA for free (membership for 2017). The fee will include 4 days accomodation (all inclusive formula), all course materials, coffee breaks, bus service from Bari to School Location and viceversa, WiFi Internet Connection and several social events. A limited number of applications only to lectures are available at reduced fees: 500,00 € for PhD students, Post-Docs and young researchers and 300 € for master degree students or for others interested just in one day lectures.
